with a limited budget and wanting HDMI/ARC for TV integration I would concentrate on an amp and passive speakers, add a TT later $300 WiiM Amp streamer/amp/DAC/preamp with HDMI/ARC amazing software including room correction and bass management, stream for a while as you save up for a TT $280 Polk Audio XT20 speakers, a nice budget starter speaker if you want new, best option would be to shop the used market

The Edifier QR65 were not well received. See this thread, for example. I have no personal experience with those speakers, but tend to agree with u/washoutr6 's comment from the linked thread: 2.75" drivers tells you everything you need to know. Sound waves are big, you are not going to get big sound out of small speakers. The fashion is small so companies are hyping all these small products, but this is physics, you need bigger drivers. What's your budget looking like? You could go with a budget amp that has a USB input (such as the AIYIMA A80 for $172 during Prime Day) combined with a set of passive bookshelf speakers, for example. Or buy a DAC that has a USB input, like this SMSL SU-1 for $73 on amazon, then you could buy whatever amp (maybe this Fosi Audio ZA3 for $120 on Prime Day) and set of passive bookshelf speakers. For "cheaper" bookshelf speakers, I've heard good things about the Polk X15 ($159) and Polk X20 ($179).
