Priorities. This focuses on Govee H617A devices because I have a bunch of them and couldn't get the results I wanted from other packages. I wanted to control the H617A's built-in dynamic scenes from HomeAssistant. I wanted a robust integration control, so I tested until I got it. This is local via BLE. No cloud. This is a vibe-coded fork with a lot of tech experience behind it. It has documentation on the protocol that's necessary to control the dynamic scenes, how they're activated, and the speed override dance to make them look like the app.

You said underrated, so I'll skip the obvious like a good chair or monitor. Beyond that, this may or may not be obvious, but I'd really recommend you ensure you have a good mic and webcam. Working from home, video calls are often the only impression you are able to make on others as far as promotions and performance reviews go, and so it's essential that you can be heard and seen clearly. Record some videos of yourself with your current setup, then play it back and make sure you can hear and see yourself clearly and that you are making a good impression.
