You said underrated, so I'll skip the obvious like a good chair or monitor. I've been working from home for about 4 years now and here are some small things I really like: Dry erase desk organizer https://a.co/d/0dNtvi46 I don't actually use the organizer much, other than to store dry erase markers, but I love it for jotting down quick notes while in calls or for to-do lists for the day. LED strip lights on the back edge of my desk https://a.co/d/07TewQmm My desk is a standing desk against a wall. I have two strips of these stuck to the back edge. I have it auto turn on when I normally start my day and off when I quit for the day. I really like the ambient light and I like the signal of when I should wrap up my day if I'm not. Really big desk blotter matt https://a.co/d/01Uqk8md I change this out every 6 months to a year with a new color for fun. I like having essentially a giant mouse pad and just adds some comfort and color to my desk Under desk foot hammock https://a.co/d/0cxztXuS Probably not the most ergonomic thing, but really comfy and nice to put my feet up on long calls. Beyond that, this may or may not be obvious, but I'd really recommend you ensure you have a good mic and webcam. Working from home, video calls are often the only impression you are able to make on others as far as promotions and performance reviews go, and so it's essential that you can be heard and seen clearly. Record some videos of yourself with your current setup, then play it back and make sure you can hear and see yourself clearly and that you are making a good impression.

I recently (a year and a half ago) started working in an office. I had been remote since I started my career, so this was a huge deal. Like you, I needed to see people even if I don't know them. I need a reason to put makeup on and just feel like I'm doing something other than slogging into the home office in my workout clothes. Some things I've got in my office: a standing desk topper, dry erase desktray, A bookstand for holding books and printed documents, Ergonomic keyboard and mouse - I've got the Logitech lift vertical mouseand the Logitech ergo, A Nespresso (the coffee from the office space was unreasonable for just one person), Cute and cozy coffee mugs, Coffee mug warmer (a must), Heated blanket, A reed diffuser so it smells good, Hand sanitizer and good hand lotion, A lamp, A cute little plant (admittedly I wish I had more), Lots of notepads and good pens, I've got some metal organizers for holding papers/files and all the notepads.
