Why do you want a display with no backlight? This is low resolution 800x480, and monochrome, pretty low standards for a modern 7 inch display, and at that it's also not cheap. It's function is really good in this application because it drops the HDMI signal as the switch operation takes place, which lets the OS scale to the next native target display resolution automatically. Also, the display is quite nice with good viewing angles and nice brightness and contrast, as well as having fairly good speakers and a headphone out jack.
