It's function is really good in this application because it drops the HDMI signal as the switch operation takes place, which lets the OS scale to the next native target display resolution automatically. Also, the display is quite nice with good viewing angles and nice brightness and contrast, as well as having fairly good speakers and a headphone out jack.
