Get some cheap clear plastic bins. Remove everything from the bathroom. It either goes in the trash or in a bin. It's OK to hang onto things and use them instead of toss them, but do it quickly... you and your sister share those things until they're gone, then don't replace them unless you are completely out of a necessary thing. ETA: if this is too overwhelming, just get EVERYTHING out of the bathroom however you can. In laundry baskets or something. Give bathroom a nice deep clean! Decide how you're going to organize the bins. If you don't use it daily, it doesn't need to be "out". If it does get used daily, there are still aesthetic ways to organize things. Put things away in their new home. Under sink, in drawers, etc. If it has to live on the counter, fine, but it still goes in a bin. The rolling cart should be removed if possible, that is adding to the visual stress. I like these, they have 12qt and 22qt, for fixing messy areas https://www.walmart.com/ip/3181212716?sid=ee467da8-5a30-477c-8cf9-52a21c3df95c And I like these for going on counters, it puts all your stuff together but still looks nice and intentional, and makes it easy to move things when you need to clean the counter https://a.co/d/0j3H2QPX

I picked up these clear bins for doing sorting. Load these up with whatever the sorting method is, and then I move them into the bigger boxes. Makes it a bit easier to not need to have out a bunch of bigger totes. Currently doing a rough sort by color, which everyone advocates against, but planning on doing another sort on top of that by type of brick, combining brick types of any colors I don't have much of, or colors on any brick types I don't have much of. Collection from four kids over 20+ years is huge, so no matter what sort I go with it's unreasonable. I've used similar bins to your post in the past, intended for puzzle sorting, but they've always seemed a bit shallow for doing any sorting other than keeping parts from sets sliding away.
