Yunzii makes decent boards, but if you want a cheaper 96% this is also good: https://www.amazon.com/Redragon-K742-Mechanical-Bluetooth-Swappable/dp/B0F93FMYD5 Most Redragon boards are pretty much awful with lousy software, but this one has QMK firmware and VIA configuration like the Yunzii IF99... and the source code is published. https://github.com/hangshengkeji/qmk_firmware/tree/master/keyboards/et/k742 I have tried it out and it is not bad at all.

The Kisnt is the least worst out of an uninspired list. It's got terrible software but so do they all. For the love of all you hold dear don't get the Redragon K522. I had one and it is the nastiest old junk I've had in my hands. There are a few exceptions running QMK firmware that use the VIA web app for configuration, and VIA doesn't impose any limitations on the layout. From Linux you want a QMK/VIA board so you're not dependent on some Windows driver for configuration. Even if you're not going to be editing it "too much" it's going to be too much. M1 v5 VIA or 5075B VIA are godo, the non-VIA use the "Akko/Monsgeek Cloud Driver" which is Windows/mac only. Aula doesn't support anything but windows. The AL80 is QMK, as are keychron's boards, but the YZ90 is proprietary with windows only driver. YMDK YMD96 ($60-$142 diy) Monsgeek M2 v5 VIA ($125) Redragon K742 * ($65) Yunzii IF99 ($100, though the screen is a bit garish) Yunzii AL98 ($130) Yunzii B98 Pro ($83) These are all running QMK firmware. I have not tried any of the Yunzii models but they look good and it's a solid company. I have the 75% versions of the YMDK and Monsgeek boards and I've tried out the Redragon. The M2 v5 VIA is probably the safest premium product, the YMD96 is very DIY but the wooden case has total "C Suite" styling. The k742 is a stealth bargain. If you want low sound, swap the switches out with something like the Outemu Silent Yellow Jade. They're ASMR-quiet. * Hands-on tested
