But of course accidents/mistakes happen. I don't have one and can't speak to its performance, but others like them. Both would be overkill, in my opinion. You won't need SkySafari Pro. This telescope will come with a code for the StarSense Explorer app, which has plenty of infor for someone starting out. In my other comment I mentioned how Amazon is a terrible place to buy used astronomy stuff. The truth is, they aren't that great for new stuff either, because they don't properly check returns and often resell stuff as new that shouldn't be. (ETA: of the few things that don't have this problem on Amazon, eyepieces from Svbony and a couple other brands are in that. They're usually just fine to get from Amazon) You've made a pretty good choice for buying a telescope!
