If you just want to measure power consumption you could skip the smart plug and just get a “kill-a-watt” type power measurement device. You could buy just one of these and connect it to each device in turn. Just an option since many of the functions of a smart plug you didn’t seem to have a use for long term. This is just a stand alone device, it has no connectivity so you would have to read the info off its screen but they are inexpensive and accomplish what you were asking for.
