Use these parts. People sleep on the Newegg PC Builder combos. U may have to update the Mboard’s BIOS so it can support the 14600kf since it’s a newer chip. It’s like a 5 minute process and there’s 100s of YouTube videos on how to do it. Towards the end of this comment I’ll leave an alternative CPU choice that’ll save u some cash and/or the hassle of updating ur BIOS. Anyway, U still need a GPU, ram kit, a PC case, and a CPU cooler. For the GPU, grab this $580 9070 Reaper. I recommend buying a used 32GB CL16/18 3000-3600MHZ ram kit for $150 or less on eBay/FB Marketplace. But if u only want new, then for about $40 more, grab this $190 KingBank 32GB CL16 kit. For the PC case, I’d grab virtually any Okinos mATX case. They’re all about $60 or less. Read my comment here for CPU cooler recommendations. The 14600kf is power hungry so ur gonna need at least a dual fan cooler. Feel free to upgrade to a 240+ mm AIO if you wish. Just make sure u grab a case that supports AIOs if u do. The Okinos Mirage 4 does, for example. Here’s the white version. $544 (Newegg parts) + $580 (9070 Reaper) $190 (32GB kit) + $60 (mATX PC case) + $30 (max CPU cooler price) = $1404 Alternatively, u can swap the 14600kf down to a 12600k in the Newegg PC Builder for $170, saving u about $80. The 12600k grants about 85% of the performance of a 14600kf. And since ur prioritizing 1440p the performance gap will be less present since CPU performance discrepancies are most prominent in 1080p. TIP: For a sub $1400 2TB build use the 12600k. Replace the previous SSD, PSU, & CPU cooler part picks with this $300 MSI Bundle that has features a 2TB SSD, a modular 750W PSU, as well as a 240mm AIO. All other parts ought to remain the same. Though because the MSI Bundle features an AIO, an AIO supported mATX case like the aforementioned Mirage 4 is necessary. Ironically enough this 2TB build totals to $1385 (with the black Mirage 4) which is even cheaper than my first recommended build.

$1475 Build: $440 MSI B850 + 32GB RAM KIT BUNDLE, $580 9070 Reaper, $175 9600x, $20 ID COOLING cpu cooler, $145 XPG SSD, $55 Non modular Asrock 750W PSU, $60 Okinos ATX PC case (No AIO support). Ur under $1500 so feel free to spend up to around $10 on a better/alternative CPU cooler if u like. U could also spend another $10 to upgrade ur PSU to a modular one like the SAMA GT750. Or u could spend around $15 more to get a different ATX case like the Lian Li V100. For $1550 u can get a 2TB build. Just swap out the PSU, CPU cooler and SSD with this $300 MSI 750W Modular PSU + 240mm AIO + 2TB BUNDLE. This Cougar ATX PC case fits the 240mm AIO snuggly. Ur free to use alternative ATX PC cases, but most are built for 360mm AIOs so ull have some empty space at the top. TIP: If u want 2TB but don’t care for the 240mm AIO, don’t get the second MSI bundle. Instead just swap out the XPG SSD for this $240 2TB Silicon Power SSD. This will push the budget to $1575 though. Add $20 to ur total if u go with a 5070. With an extra 4GB and a cheaper price though, the 9070 has better value. There is one model for $580 but it’s exclusive to Microcenter locations.

Get these three parts from Newegg. The 14600kf is way faster than the 5500x3d. The B760M motherboard I’ve included has a front Type C port and the Kingspec SSD has high Read/Write speeds. U can find used 32gb 3200 ram kits for sub $150. If u do go new, this KingSpec kit is only $190. Since the B760m is a mATX motherboard get a mATX PC case. Okinos has a bunch of great ones under $60 on Amazon. For the GPU grab a 9070 or 9070XT. Personally I think the 9070 is the sweet spot in terms of value at $580. TIP: U’ll need to update ur motherboard’s BIOS so the 14600kf runs stable. It’s a 10 minute process & theres 100s of YouTube videos how to do it. If ur not comfortable doing it just downgrade ur CPU to a $170 12600k in the Newegg PC Builder. It’ll still be faster than the 5500x3d.
