Heya Dex's Mom, Btw, great handle. I can clearly hear the "Dee Dee get outa my lab!" 😄 I want to assume that you've looked into things to help. On the remote off chance you havent, do you mind if I throw a couple things your way? Im lookin for the links but cant seem to find my prior post. But there are strap/ankle/foot apparatus's that fit over socks, but within the shoe. They were originally more geared towards stroke victims but also work wonders for us folks with MS. The only link I can currently find is the type to be worn externally. https://turbomedorthotics.com/ I was and am currently lucky to be in a position with miniscule/virtually negligible foot drop. I deal with more of the spatial awareness, or lack there of, for my size 14 feet. I also experienced extreme cramping in my calves when I took more 5-6 stairs up or down. The next 3 items, I own and use, and helped a ton. Cant say they will for you, but you dont know if you dont try. ProStretch Plus, Customizable/Adjustable Calf Stretcher and Foot Rocker for Plantar Fasciitis, Achilles Tendonitis, and Tight Calves Foot and Calf Stretcher-Stretching Strap For Plantar Fasciitis, Heel Spurs, Foot Drop, Achilles Tendonitis & Hamstring. Yoga Foot & Leg Stretch Strap *I like this one more due to the size 14 situation. While I dont have nearly the tightness and cramping a year later, this beast still feels sooooooo good to get a decent stretch in. Im 6'5", so when I stretch, I "stretch" lol. I use the ceiling for balance. Foot Nerve Muscle Stimulator Pro, TENS & EMS Foot Massager for Neuropathy, Circulation and Body Pain Relief, Electric Feet Legs Blood Circulation Machine, FSA or HSA Eligible *This fuckin thing is amazing. I had crazy pins and needles coupled with an equal amount of numbness in my feet and calves, when not cramped up lol. It def feels weird when you first try it out. But it was like within 2 weeks everything below the knees felt almost normal. There are other like models that have additional pads that are for calves and things too. *I was also taking an Alpha Lipoic Acid and an R Alpha Lipoic Acid supplements to battle the all the tingles/pins/needles, etc. Continuing on FES devices (functional electrical stimulation). I do not own these, but have looked into and asked about them (and or the like). https://www.fireflyrecovery.com/ *This is more geared to sports recovery/therapy. However, the clinical studies show that some of the things they help with are facets that us folks with MS deal with. https://www.cionic.com/ *This looks amazing. And some of the before/after videos made me really look into these. The caveat to these working so well is that they are apparently a bitch to put on and remove. The last thing, I also dont own, but was told to me by my mechanic whos son has MS. https://cadense.com/ Shoes made specifically to assist/alleviate foot drop. Expensive as fuck though. Check with your insurance and such, not all, but many can/will prescribe orthotics. Best of luck! And again, sorry if I've deluged you with shit you are already well aware of. A good deal of my successes are from tryin the shit others here have, so I figure it best to the same in return.

Heya OP, me again, making good on that list I mentioned. I know this shys away a bit from your original post, but I know the apathy/lethargy cycle like most here do. Im tired because I've been too tired to NOT be tired. I own the following items and I have used them. I've actually purchased way more than whats listed, these are just the ones I like and felt had an actual beneficial impact. Foot nerve stimulator - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C7KBDL91?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_4 Foot/Calf stretcher - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0051BNU9Q?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3 Foot/Calf stretcher (strap) - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08JHZYQ7X?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_5&th=1 (I like this one better than the prior because I am 6'5" with size 14's) Under desk Elliptical Machine - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DF2WS15J?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_7&th=1 Vibration plate with Handlbars - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BDPK6K2N?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3&th=1 Door strap + Resistance bands - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09CSQWHGW?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3&th=1 Pilates bar + Resistance bands - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D95JDH4G?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3&th=1 *I had such marked improvement with the resistance bands I took it to the next level and went the "resistance cord" machine route. I opted to the MaxPro system. These systems are fantastic! I dont/wont do free weights anymore due to balancing. They range from $300 to $3000+ so do your research. I can get my workouts and feel the compensation of muscles and nerves that still work. I know I'm still wibblywobbly but I feel stronger and more articulate with my movements because of this machine. Plus its in my home and I dont look foolish at the gym. Best of luck, keep us posted. **Edit: FES device - https://www.fireflyrecovery.com/ Geared towards athletic recovery but the things it helps with are things we deal with. Has clinical studies avail. Robotics/Exoskeleton/Wearable - https://www.cionic.com/

Heya OP, I hope you dont mind, but Im goin to throw a bunch of shit your way. I have dipped back through my posts/comments and kinda culminated a bunch of stuff concerning the issues you hare having (ones that I share with you). Sorry for the short story, but if any one of the things mentioned may possibly help, Im all about it. So here goes: Another convo used the definition of: "a bowl of jello on fire". This hits home for me, legs literally felt like they were on fire and as useless as Jello. Heya bro! So, how ya feelin today? "Like a bowl of gasoline Jello lit on fire". The two things I would suggest to look into/ask about is a FES device and an Alpha Lipoic Acid. These two helped me a ton. Can not say it will work for you but, but it might. - A Functional Electricidal Stimulation device (FES) are fantastic. It also helped bring back the feeling from when my feet were almost completely numb. It's weird to say I missed the tingles, cus I could actually feel my feet. I got one that's just for the feet but they make models that have the additional/extra attachment pads and wires to further up the calves and thighs. - R-Alpha Lipoic Acid and Alpha Lipoic Acid supplements. I went with Nervive and NuitriCost. These work for some folks, and are a complete miss for others, from reading these forums. Definitely speak with your nuero. Within less than 2 weeks virtually ALL of my TV static went away. I get the odd zipz/zaps/jolts when I finally call it a day and lay down, but thats about it. As an additional supplement(s), have you looked into or are taking Turmeric/Curcumin? This shit is an AMAZING anti-inflammatory. The Vit D your are taking, does it have Magnesium Glycinate? The magnesium is GREAT for nerve and muscle support. Also check with your PCP as if you are having any sort of liver issues or on blood pressure medicine, you probably dont want high dosages of magnesium. 2. I went with this device - Creliver Foot Nerve Muscle Stimulator Pro, TENS & EMS Foot Massager for Neuropathy They make other models similar to this, ones that include additional pads and such. I believe that coupled with the R-Alpha and Alpha Lipoic Acid supplements I took, is the reason why I can now jog down a hallway and my tingles/numbness are all but gone (small almost negligible areas of numbness and the occasional lil jolt/tingle when calling it a day and laying down for sleep). 3. Hey OP, Google FES (functional electrical stimulation) devices. Then look into Robotic Exoskeletons like from here - https://reev.care/ . Your neuro might even have a slew of options for you too look into, as havin issues with walking is a common things that your doc WILL be aware of. I have a few links at home about these and similar, I'll edit my post hopefully later tonight after work. Physical Therapy is nothing new to me, as I parked my motorcycle in a tree in 2010 (I dont recommend this btw). I'm 3/4 bolts, rods, and pins lol. So please allow me to throw a list of items that I use. And I repeat, "I" use these things. This is directly from my Amazon order history. I'm not saying any of these will be a "solve all", I am unsure to the scope of their benefit to you. BUT I know, I KNOW, how well it has worked for me. It may work for you. Even if its a 10-15% alleviated threshold, I'd consider it a success. And OP, I could NOT walk with out the aid of a cane and/or walker. Even then it was a struggle. I am lucky that the towel rack in my bathroom is secured to studs, because I had to use that everytime to help myself up from the throne. A couple weeks ago I half assed jogged down my hallway at work. Oh it was kinda funny lookin, but still, its not something I had considered in my wheelhouse anymore. But with all I have been doing over the last 3 months, I've even entertained the idea of MAYBE, PERHAPS, on the SLIGHTEST of chances, that I MIGHT try a bunny slope for snowboarding this next winter. If I can go from a hairs breath away from wheelchair use, to jogging like Phoebe from Friends....well I'm goin to keep hammering at this nonsense and make it my bitch. So here we go, list incoming: Foot nerve stimulator - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C7KBDL91?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_4 Foot/Calf stretcher - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0051BNU9Q?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3 Foot/Calf stretcher (strap) - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08JHZYQ7X?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_5&th=1 (I like this one better than the prior because I am 6'5" with size 14's) Under desk Elliptical Machine - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DF2WS15J?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_7&th=1 Vibration plate with Handlbars - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BDPK6K2N?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3&th=1 Door strap + Resistance bands - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09CSQWHGW?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3&th=1 Pilates bar + Resistance bands - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D95JDH4G?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3&th=1 *I had such marked improvement with the resistance bands I took it to the next level and went the "resistance cord" machine route. Best of luck, keep us posted. **Edit: FES device - https://www.fireflyrecovery.com/ Geared towards athletic recovery but the things it helps with are things we deal with. Has clinical studies avail. Robotics/Exoskeleton/Wearable - https://www.cionic.com/ 4. For the weakness. Get a blood panel done, if you havent. This will tell you where you are lacking. Get the basics - A, B's, C, D3+, and magnesium. Great for sleep as well as energy. Get the extras - Omega 3 and Turmeric/Curcumin. As well as Lions Mane. The first two are godsends for inflammation. Not jokin, they work wonders. Havent had a single "MS hug" in almost a half year. The Lions Mane is by far the most pertinent if you have ANY sort of brain fog. I can not explain in enough detail how wonderful this stuff is. Get the additional extras - R-Alpha Lipoic Acid and/or Alpha Lipoic Acid and something called MyImmunity. The first helps with pins/needles/numbness. Nervive was recommended to my via the study I am participating in at UCSF. The second, MyImmunity, brought my internals back to normal in under two weeks. No constipation, no Hershey squirts, Im a normal boy! Hopefully this helps a lil. Best of luck and keep us posted! Again, sorry for the length, but I thought it better if I kept most of the diatribe as well, for context. Feel free to dip into my posts/comments as well, I have them open. And before you jump into any supplements and such, call your PCP/Neuro and make sure you're good to take em. For example: if you go with the D3+ Magnesium Glycinate you will want to assess any antibiotics youre on as well as any kidney issues, because that is where magnesium is filtered through.
