Boric acid, especially 5 days, is typically is not enough for reoccuring infections. BA is definitely safe to take for 2 weeks, from experience. Some women with resistant strains of yeast, like galbrata, have to take it for at least 3 weeks. Do you know your strain of yeast? As for future advice, you need to reseed your microbiome after treatment. Antifungals have been recently found to impact good bacteria levels, depleting them. Depleted good bacteria allows for higher reoccurrence rates. You can reseed your microbiome with probiotic suppository inserts. Considering you’ve dealt with this for about 2 months, i’d do at least 2 weeks of nightly inserts and slowly taper off ( every 2-3 days for a bit, then once a week ). Does your period influence your reoccurrence too? I’d recommend using them nightly indefinitely 1-3 days before/after your period if that is the case depending when your vagina is most vulnerable. You likely will need to go to the doctor and retest yourself. The swelling could be a symptom of BV, yeast, or a combination of both.If your PH is still high, you likely have at least one.My advice going forward is to replenish your good bacteria after treatment. Antibiotics for BV and even antifungals can deplete good bacteria, allowing for recurrent infections. You can replenish your good bacteria through a consistent regimen of nightly lactobacillus probiotic inserts. As per experience myself of having dealt with a nasty reoccurring yeast infection, these are my recommendations:- coconut oil on ONLY the external part of your vagina.- invest in good clean love rephresh gel. it’ll help bring some of that natural moisture back.- also invest in some vaginal probiotic suppositories. these will help to ensure you have enough good bacteria to fight against reoccurring infections.- you can also try applying some of the topical estrogen cream as well, as i’ve heard women having success with that. however, don’t do it without consulting your doctor first. future advice: don’t use monistat again. not worth it and from my experience just made things worse. products I used for probiotics:https://a.co/d/03YULiSy (get the pack of 4, they go quick and each tube lasts maybe a week to two.) https://a.co/d/09VGbTm4 https://a.co/d/09dP4JJ5 https://a.co/d/06rYS4sb

I think using just the gel and one of the probiotic suppositories should be fine. I just incorporated another alongside the Epothex powder because it is dominant in only L. Crispatus. I wanted my microbiome to have multiple good bacteria strains so I added in vitanica because its main strain is L.
