I had the same injury (trimal with dislocation, plates/screws/tightrope) and the same anxieties. I also live alone so I was terrified I'd fall and need assistance that wasn't there. It was week 6ish that PT gave me a hard talk about it and I transitioned to this pillow thing. Speaking of PT, I highly recommend doing it if at all possible. My PT was the one to push me and got me over a lot of mental humps. Plus the exercises and massage and accountability.
