Personally I went with a 12600K. It's overkill but I already had a motherboard for it and the iGPU is plenty strong for encoding if I ever need plex encoding. Currently my plex direct streams full quality so it's not much work for the NAS. You're motherboard should have whatever network speed you're wanting to run, along with your router. My gaming PC, NAS and router are all 5Gbps so transfers are quick. I highly recommend this card, it'll allow you to run 8 SATA drives and it works perfect for NAS builds. https://a.co/d/08z20C14
