I have a setup vaguely similar to the second. It’s longer, 5 grids, with a 2x2 grid loft mounted 1 grid off the end. Only one of my girls really uses the loft area. When you’re measuring how much space your pigs have in terms of what is an acceptable amount of space per pig, only measure the main level. Ramps and lofted areas can be a nice bonus, but you don’t see the same benefits or meet a pigs needs with them as you would if that same area was simply part of the main cage. Ex: in my case I don’t count the loft, so I have about 13 sq ft of space for my 3 girls. You may also find it easier to clean one flat rectangular area. I know when I switched to a largely uninterrupted space it was faster for me! Edit: Oh! For brands I like oxbow hay and vitamin C treats, and I got these water bottles over a year ago after trying so many styles, and I have had ZERO leaking or dripping problems. Def recommend.
