It's got a touch screen, but also manual music controls: Hiby R1 - https://www.amazon.com/HiBy-Bluetooth-Lossless-Touchscreen-Certified/dp/B0DKTF38HX?th=1 $75 with a $15 coupon at the moment - it's hardly a basic player either. Pop a microSD card in, and it's got very good audio quality. It's not a 'phone with music playing apps'. I've owned an Innioasis Y1 (sound isn't great) in the past, and now own an Innioasis V1 (same software as the Hiby R1) which is much better - but not really available on Amazon. The Hiby R1 is the best 'bang for your buck' you'll find on Amazon at a budget price.

Modernly, It's much better to download .flac files (sound much better than .mp3). You can still download mp3, if you want. Cheap MP3 players are all over Amazon & eBay. You get what you pay for. I have a good quality Digital Audio Player (DAP). While at the gym, I do not want various alerts and texts. Unfortunately way too many entitled shits sit on gym equipment like couches, endlessly scrolling social media instead of actually . . . lifting.. Great quality DAP here: https://a.co/d/0attLmtt
