I put waterproof dog blankets over all my furniture. I wash the blankets every 3-5 days. My dog doesn’t touch the actually furniture or the seats in my car. When proper company is coming over, the dog goes into her kennel, the covers come off, and I have a dog-free sofa/chairs. Same with the car. I pull the blankets up, fold them up and put in the trunk.
