Are they quick oats? If so, you can use an electric kettle and then just pour the boiling water into the bowl with the oats (that's what we do). If you need an electric kettle recommendation, I have this kettle and love it. It's seamless metal on the inside. You could probably also microwave. I also hate using my gas range. I want to switch to induction so badly. Just make sure you have your hood fan on whenever using your gas range/oven.
