I bought a relatively cheap icemaker from Amazon that looks like exactly what you're after. It makes the best ice cubes!!!! The cubes start out as small bullets, but after a while the inside of the water bottle turns to a mixture of water and frozen slush. So cold and refreshing to drink from. It's like the best purchase I've made in the last year, a countertop ice-on-demand machine. Starts spitting out cubes in maybe 15 minutes. An hour for a full bin, and the sensor stops it from making more until you empty it a bit. You can leave it going all night long, and stop by every hour or so to stop back up.

My inlaws bought this one from amazon recently and it's perfectly fine. I'm thinking of getting it for myself as well.
