I would say it's overkill unless you like playing movie theater (80db) level a lot for a small bedroom. I have the 990f in our living room 15x15 open living room and I rarely crank it past 30 out of 100 for sound. Maybe just pick up the hisense AX700 from costco or the AX5140q from bestbuy and save some change. Should do great in a small room. for mounts $80 is a lot. Bestbuy sells the sanus ones for $40 and those look more premium than what you were lookingn at. There's lots of all metal options on amazon for $25.
