Do not open the windows ever it’s just not worth the humidity gain even if it gets below 70 at night. Block as much sun all day long, like the people above said. Even if you have to get cheap blinds from Menards. Then use box fans to blow the AC you do have around the house. One blowing into your room and one blowing each direction you want to cool. Just like a dehumidifier, AC units can do more than what you think just by using fans to help move more air around and back to them. Don’t set the fans right in front of the AC unit kinda set them away a bit and use Bernoulli’s principle a bit. You can also turn the blower/fan on the thermostat to run. It will move air around till it cools the house enough. In your room, use a separate box fan and go get a piece of dry ice from Meijer, position the dry ice in front of the fan to blow towards you. Resist the urge to open the windows, resist the urge to buy those fans/swamp/coolers you see on tv, they introduce humidity into the space. Dry ice won’t. Don’t open the windows! Keep the sun blocked out!
