Keyboard Covers: The silicon makes dirt and small debris adhere to it and it rubs against the display causing issues. In worse cases many users crack their displays because of them. Plastic snap on covers: NO! Dirt gets trapped between and rubs against the finish creating pits and scratches. Screen protectors: Personally I think this is one thing I might consider as long as it is static cling. They even make matte finish ones which would interest me. Curious to see what others think about these. Trackpad: Use the trackpad as intended. It's one of the best made and best features of Apple Laptops. If you really feel you are being too rough later then get one.
