Propet is super comfortable, however their styles are very orthopedic looking. I once had bad plantar fasciitis, and besides birkenstocks, they were the only shoes I could wear for a while. they were amazingly comfortable (esp for me becasue I have wide feet). for cuter styles, look at well known comfort brands like Naturalizer or Dr Scholls. matter what, look for something with a removable insole, and replace it with something that has a deep gel heel cup and high arch support (good arch support will take weight off of your heels). other random ideas: crocs brooklyn flats are almost as cushiony as their OG shoe. adding arch support helps - I use these stick-on ones. would they allow those men's oxfords that have those sort of "running shoe" like soles (like Cole Haans)?
