If you have the EEPROM, you can unlock the hard drive with FATXplorer and put the softmod directly on the hard drive via XBHDM Build.zip. Of course to do this you would need to take the hard drive out of the Xbox and use a compatible USB to IDE adapter to unlock/lock and write to the hard drive.

You need the PATA IDE to SATA or USB connection as well as molex to SATA power cable. The adapter you have works on 2.5 IDE drives which have the power pins. Your drive is a 3.5 IDE drive which uses a different connection to power the drive.
