I do agree the fit isn’t ideal. I would prefer something gently spring-loaded, but the $10 price point and “free” Amazon one-day shipping are hard to beat. Sorry to hear about the damage! I avoid putting it on the back of my phone much, mainly because of the likelihood of it taking on too much pressure from the wrong bump or an awkward pull out of a pocket. The phone only adds danger that way. I only carry my X3 alone in a pocket to avoid any pressure. And then I have a cushioned Vera Bradley card case for extra protection when traveling. (Not trying to admonish, my hope is that sharing my own safety methods may be useful to you or others in some way.)
