The key thing is that body chemistry can make things that work perfectly well for some can be horribly detrimental to others. For most people acetone is completely fine, but people with more sensitive skin CAN get really bad damage from it. Before ditching it completely, you could check to see if you just need to be moisturizing more. I recommend getting a giant bottle of pure jojoba oil and refillable cuticle oil pens.
