I have a Stir Crazy, which is surprisingly better at cooking a lot of stuff than you'd think. Only negative thing about is when you flip it over to use the top as a bowl, it can get a little cornballer on you.

it is very popular in the US I like it with olive oil salt and pepper Garlic salt is also nice a special spicy one I do is olive oil + italian seasoning blend + pepper But for guests and kids I use what movie theaters use This is the seasoning movie theaters use: https://www.amazon.com/Gold-Medal-Prod-Flavacol-Seasoning/dp/B004W8LT10 This is an amazing seasoning, no idea what likely terrible for me ingredients it has, but it is delicious. I use light sprinkles of it on all kinds of food I cook and people think I'm a great cook. Because it is sold as a commercial product and not direct to consumers they don't have to list all the ingredients. But yeah, we can buy it off amazon or even local stores that *say* they are commercial/restaurant supply stores, but they allow anyone to walk in and buy. For the oil theaters use either soybean or coconut. There used to be some less healthy oils used. I don't know about other countries, but in the US is is normal to take seed oils that contain toxins or have other flaws such as they spoil quickly or have low smoke points and highly process them. And I do mean highly, think of how crude oil is processed into gas and similar things are done to seed oils but with bleach and chemicals used to remove or cover up the rancid smells from the processing. Coconut oil that is solid at room temp will give the popcorn a light, sweet, fruity flavor. I am not the biggest fan, but some people love it when I make it for them. Coconut oil used by commercial producers is more highly processed and does not taste like coconut. these microwave ones are awesome and take up little space: https://www.amazon.com/Original-Microwave-Collapsible-Dishwasher-Available/dp/B087QJ7YL3?th=1 air poppers are healthier if you don't use any oil at all, but are kinda a pain to add seasoning/oil to after the popcorn is already done popping https://www.amazon.com/Presto-04863-Poplite-Popper-Color/dp/B01G7DM3G2 stirring ones were popular in the 80's and are making a comeback for nostalgia reasons, but I was never impressed with how much of a pain they are to clean https://www.amazon.com/82505-Electric-Popcorn-Stirring-Convenient/dp/B00KL8SM92 I am too lazy for stove top kettles: https://www.amazon.com/Great-Northern-Popcorn-Stainless-Stove/dp/B00608D66G There is stove top jiffy pop, which is sorta okay, you may have seen it in Fantastic 4 movie: https://www.amazon.com/Butter-Flavored-Popcorn-Stovetop-Popping/dp/B0FBXYPP2Q Then there is prepackaged microwave popcorn. https://www.amazon.com/Orville-Redenbachers-Theater-Microwave-24-Count/dp/B00I9VCF0U The prepackaged stuff if terrible for you. It is as unhealthy as can be. Or it used to be. Several of the chemicals used to stabilize the oil and to make the paper bags grease and heat proof were toxic. Manufacturers sold billions of bags of popcorn for decades by not listing them as ingredients, they were instead part of the packaging. I lived by a popcorn factory for a while when I was a kid and I knew peoples dads who died from the fumes give off by the vats, and other people who had worked there for a decade and developed serious lung damage. Recently the US gov told manufacturers to stop poisoning people, so they have phased out most of the known really bad stuff. Now it's probably stuff THEY know is bad, but is not widely publicized as bad. Please do not eat this stuff regularly. If you want to order a box off the internet to try american style popcorn, that is fine, but don't make it a weekly habit. If you enjoy buy raw popcorn kernels, your own seasoning, and whatever method of popper that you want.
