This may not work for your mom, depending on how forgetful she is, but I recently found a pill case that is perfect for me. I started with one of the cheap plastic ones that are like $10 at a pharmacy, but the little tabbed lids always broke off in a few months. Then I switched to another type made of metal cups that screw into each other top and bottom. Very sturdy, but the ends had little silicone o-rings for a tight seal between cups. First problem was that I had to buy two sets for AM and PM. Second problem was that it was too easy to lose those little silicone rings when unscrewing. Eventually, it got to be too much of a pain screwing and unscrewing the caps every morning and evening, especially if my finger joints decided they wanted some time off. I did use them for years, though. Then I found this one on Amazon. The daily containers are very easy to fill and use. I take five very large capsules daily, and everything fits perfectly. I remember morning and evening because it’s easy to see what I’ve taken if I flip the daily container open. They also make different colors and even translucent ones. I’d avoid translucent though, because some medications should be stored away from sunlight. The only thing I wonder about is how long the silicone end caps will last. I’ve had it a few months and no problems yet. My main issue with it is that I dislike buying from random Chinese businesses on Amazon, because I’ve been burned by Temu-ish products and awful customer service more that once.
