I get why you’re feeling this way. Death is so full of uncertainty. If you’re looking for a perspective on what continuity feel like, please have a look at Anita Moorjani’s Near Death Experience. Her story is often quoted in some Buddhist teachings. I first heard about her from Ajahn Brahm in his various dhamma talks. You can read a quick summary of her story here or dive deeper into it in her book "Dying to Be Me”. You’d see that when she was clinically dead, she didn’t experience a boring void.
