I made my own version of this and it works really well. https://a.co/d/04U99LNx There’s an MIT study / tutorial online comparing its results to a $5k HEPA system and it seems to be comparable. (I didn’t make the study, just reporting what I remember - if I can find the link I’ll come back and post it.) I took a MERV8 filter and used 2” painter’s tape to seal around the fan to keep the air flow consistently through the filter and not through cracks around the edges. It worked really well in filtering dust and pollen and even though I dust and vacuum, there was a lot of material collected. Good luck!
