We have three children (8,6 and 2). We just switched from a minivan. The minivan is absolutely better suited for children. Captains chairs, cargo room, sliding doors, ect… can’t really beat it. So the R1S is a bit of a compromise. But that being said… we find it’s well worth the trade offs and don’t mind the small inconveniences. The R1S is so incredible. We love it. Regarding cup holders, we bought this center console organizer that fills that larger gap and it has big cup holders in it.
