I've had my L shaped Kivik on legs for about 7 years now and it's still going strong! I bought 8 legs (4 for the sofa, 4 for the chaise), plus the m4 plates to install them. There are two specialized metal brackets where the two pieces lock together -- you can't put legs here, but I've been using furniture risers with no issue. There's a comment somewhere in my history with more details on the legs, etc., but my previous apartment had thin carpet and I had no problem with these: https://a.co/d/00A44T1D. When we moved 5 years ago and got a plushier rug, we switched to these: https://a.co/d/0ccvwScW They aren't really visible so the look doesn't matter.
