I believe this adapter should also work since it uses the same chip https://a.co/d/082i6Tjw I can test this tomorrow when I get it.

in bazzite portal, turn on "CEC sleep". After that it just works plug and play. Cec must be enabled in your tv its one of these 2 dongles https://amazon.com/dp/B0FQCF62CD https://amazon.com/dp/B0FQCGSWW3 or any future dongle using Chrontel's CH7218A CEC only works on AMD gpu's

https://a.co/d/0561meLC This is the one I use personally. If you search between this sub and some other Linux ones you'll see people who have come up with scripts to make it more reliable but I haven't personally tried those as it's a little too complicated for me

That’s a different adapter than the one I have: https://a.co/d/0ceh22Ts . I wonder if yours might not be recognized by Bazzite as supporting HDMI-CEC?

I'm using this one with my 9070xt running Bazzite hooked up to my tv and it supports 4k 120hz with HDR and CEC. https://a.co/d/0eZv3Snd

HDMI-CEC: can be enabled by this small USB-HDMI adapter: https://www.pulse-eight.com/p/104/usb-hdmi-cec-adapter. Its HDMI-passthrough works only for 2.0 unfortunately. The solution I’ve settled on: running a second separate hdmi cable to my TV specifically for CEC controls. Not ideal obviously, but it gets the job done. Another option is buying a newer 2.1 adapter, but it’s way more expensive: https://www.hdfury.eu/products/hdfury-arcana-2. Another drawback: enabling the adapter’s functionality requires some light coding and tinkering, but it’s nothing serious that can’t be solved quickly with your AI coding agent of choice. More info in these videos here: https://youtu.be/xpki1IcjinU and https://youtu.be/biJUt8EgaC0 . You uhh skipped the easiest solution: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B0FQCF62CD This dongle here works out of the box with SteamOS. Like, that's it, plug it in and boom, CEC works. No extra steps to make it go, unless you wanna add CEC functions above and beyond what SteamOS already calls for using cecctl. Yeah, I have no idea why Linus keeps saying it's impossible. Xbox controllers: for these it’s a bit trickier. Waking up does work, but only if you connect your controller through 2.4GHz. Erm, I have this working with Xbox controllers over Bluetooth in SteamOS. It just requires a Udev rule to set your BT adapter to be allowed to wake the system. I also have MCE IR dongles on my machines and they can all wake up the machine through a similar Udev rule. And basically it's the same for any BT controller, cause it's the BT dongle that does the waking.

I was using some old adapter I had laying around, I had 5.1, 1080p60, it wasn't much, but it was better than the setup I had before the BC250 (nothing for the home theater). I bought this adapter which looks like the same one you linked and I can get 4k120 with HDR when plugged into my TV (LG C3 OLED 77") but no VRR and no sound. I initially tried going thru my receiver first and maxed out at 4k60 (older receiver) and no sound there either. Are you doing anything special to get sound to work with this adapter?
