There are cheaper ways to do this, but I pulled this together across a few suggestions I saw. I splurged and bought the Manfrotto arm and clamp because the cheaper magic arms kept moving on me, the handy was too heavy/arm too chintzy to stay in place even when I cranked it as tightly as I could.manfrotto armmanfrotto clampTo add insult to injury, you need to buy a tripod screw to bolt the arm to the handy. You only need 1 but buying a pack of a few is still pretty cheap and not a bad idea1/4-20 screws When using it in bed, I clamp it to this thingblanket lifterIt does force you to stay pretty flat if you’re underneath it, but stays in place and you can pull the blankets/covers over it to help mute noise if that is a concern All in, this is close to $200 and that’s with some of the sale prices running currently. Like I say, you can do this cheaper, but I’ve tried a few different ways and like this one by far the best. The nice part of the clamp is it will clamp to round or flat surfaces if you want to use it on a table or something instead of a round leg.
