I’ve noticed so far navy, orange, grey, and black are the themes of your room. Thus, you already have a great color palette! You js need to bring the items of the same color//shade closer together. And maybe, assigning a mood//theme to each color could help create division and a zoning effect. Navy/Some Black- navy and dark shades alike could go by your bedroom/sleep area to create a cozy and relaxing space. Because the wall is painted navy blue, it, in my opinion, adds even more depth & harmony to the room. Orange/Light Brown/Grey- On the other hand, orange/grey and warm shades alike could be the theme of the ‘living room’ to create a welcoming and opening atmosphere. Plus, having the orange/grey in the middle works to create an “intermission”/transition space of rest and working/gaming. Black- Already, the gaming setup and table are black so js continue to lean into that for a focused gaming /work zone. Working with what you already have, I would suggest to…. •Find another place for the lamp.Right now, it has a ‘pole effect’, as in, it splits the room (black rod, & whitish light). You could paint the rod brown if you use/need it there, but if not, I’d suggest moving it to next to the bed instead. The crate could go under the loft or behind the couch—js needs to be out of view. • Swap the pillowsswap the navy blue pillows on the couch with the orange ones on the top loft. •Declutter Coffee Table (as much as possible)Keep brown books/black books in the middle though if you’d like to create a stacked pile on which you can prop your green plant upon. •Rearrange DecorSwap the cars on the shelf for the orange lamps on the dresser. Place the cube on the shelf under the projector. Then other lamp to create a narrow line (pattern would be: projector/wide, cube/thin, lamp/wide). **Order the cars on the dresser by a color and size. A white, navy, and white.*** If possible, also add a brown table runner—similar to the carpet’s color. •Tilt Gaming SetupRight now, the table is crossing atop the curtains, which also creates a slight splitting effect. If possible, position it in a corner, diagonally, or invest in a triangle corner desk to open up the space//keep the curtains full. If neither options work for your needs, just layer the curtains ontop of the black table—as you see fit. Possible additions for future cohesion:+ add a navy blue comforter//blanket throw to both mattresses + Purchase a black ruffle bed skirt.
