Thank you, that looks great! Super Lube® Multi-Purpose Synthetic. Grease with Syncolon® here is a link.. the price is right, And its Kosher! ;-) MSDS says the base is White Mineral Oil (Petroleum).. (no Silicone) that is definitely safe for Silicone O rings, good call ;-)

This should be fun! Every time that someone asks this question on Cloudy Nights they get inundated with slippery suggestions. Superlube #2 or #1!

I use Super Lube synthetic grease in my crawlers. Think that will work?

Tiny drop of https://www.amazon.com/Super-Lube-21030-Synthetic-Grease/dp/B000XBH9H on the leadscrews and moving the bed up and down a few times

Z-axis leadscrews need more lube, get the same thing in the same area, the bed spends most of its time in the top section, so the lube wears quickest there. Also the prusa lube is not the best for the Z-axis leadscrews, got much better results using superlube, https://www.amazon.com/Super-Lube-21030-Synthetic-Grease/dp/B000XBH9HI/ref=sr_1_1?crid=CDLAAOXKE0IP&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.Pmbu4SWCo29ZvUHFkAEo_oevYurqltH79iKQYJeFn2JQ5luGKsZjUqvq4nS0-6fpRsaOx0qtsv4x3uGwApyjDWyznQLx9pzS14krZy6qxRfGRJosoW0p96oRv8nz_gveF8T8TalQ4EiaJiM2dRqIsAMdqBGa-aI5VKp2qy59j801-lYiLZJZC9qUvwzxwh1EB99nqwmv1wP_YlAMwf4pWKerWu5_7reXR0_mfYFmvcA.lHXsviyEP3t9pusd34ILm6nskrzhVa7pSEKL0yLvro4&dib_tag=se&keywords=super%2Blube&qid=1781445016&sprefix=super%2Blube%2Caps%2C154&sr=8-1&th=1 Applied with this, cut the tip so make the hole bigger so it squeezes out with ease, ran a bead down the entire rod https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007Y8230G?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_3

It looks like the nickel plating has worn or chipped off. The exposed metal will oxidize much faster and keep it from getting a good connection. What you can do is lightly sand it then apply some dielectric grease to keep it from oxidizing again - silicone paste or Super Lube.

The chirpy noise in the lower speeds is indicative of the "speed control plate" going bad. That is a very simple repair and the part is inexpensive as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HMRqoz3yKHE => excellent video documenting the repair process. If you were just given the mixer I would replace the grease in the mixer as well which should help with the grinding noise you hear as you increase the speed. This is an example video documenting how to replace the grease https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ND1b9P2iubg You can buy modern synthetic food grade grease from Amazon. This is the best stuff (in my opinion) - you will need two of these as the factory service manual recommends 6 ounces of grease. https://www.amazon.com/Super-Lube-21030-Synthetic-Grease/dp/B000XBH9HI/
