I have had MacBooks for 15 years. I just upgraded my M1 air to an M5 air, and this is the first time I have had this issue. It is very annoying. I started putting a keyboard mat (ghost blanket) inside the enclosure when it's going to be closed for any length of time. Have not had any keyboard imprints since doing that. I just keep the little mat inside my laptop bag and when I go home for the day I lay it over the keyboard. Kind of annoying. I'd rather the computer be thicker than deal with this, but it's better than constantly staring at these imprints and constantly wiping off the screen.
