I've used these for years, cheap as hell 2 for $7. Depending on the pad sometimes I wear it inside out. On my raiden mid I wear it normally. I clean and rotate one out about every 30 days. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CK1729XX?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1&th=1
Go down to like 60-80cm in kovaaks for a bit to really force you to use your arm. Anything faster than like 35-40cm people can still crutch their wrist only (via bad technique). Yes it will feel bad. Yes your scores will be bad. Yes you will run out of mouse space more. That's okay! Scores and overall performance are largely unimportant when learning new things. It's natural to perform worse when trying something new, even if that new thing is objectively better in the long run. 100% of the time when im teaching people how to dodge in Apex, even though nothing changed about their aim setup their aim suffers immensely because they're so focused on their movement. It doesn't mean that their aim got worse, just that their brain power and attention is focused on their movement and dodging so their aim naturally drops in the short term. EDIT: Also get a larger mousepad. It will pay dividends. The largest you can get, even if part of it hangs off your desk. Get a sleeve as well even if you're on cloth - I have to use a sleeve on any pad I use. I use a cheap athletic sleeve off of amazon, two sleeves for 6 bucks: amazon.com/dp/B0CK1729XX?ref_=ppx_hzsearch_conn_dt_b_fed_asin_title_1 some pads I wear the sleeve inside out and it glides better, other pads I wear it normally.
