I've done several max range tests with various tires and brands on my 2019 Chevy Bolt. While build quality is important as well as weight, I found the Michelins to be one of the fastest wearing tires out of the several brands I've used and they were heavier due to the self-seal technology. Switching between Goodyear and Hankook tires, I've learned that my best range to price were actually from a non-name brand tire called Vercelli. It sounds Italian, but they're actually manufactured in Thailand and shipped from a distributor in Texas. In the summer I get between 4.5 to 4.8 miles per kw and 3.8 to 4.2 in the winter (Pacific Northwest). For the price of less than $70 a tire, and less than $300 a set - I just go with these every 50,000 miles as they are plenty sporty and work great in rain conditions. Generally I pick them up from the store (free charge for pickup) and then take them to my local discount tire to be installed (also a free service) and just pay whatever the disposal fee is. Beats paying $150+ a tire from the name brands and has been great for range and traction. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Vercelli-Strada-II-All-Season-215-50ZR17-95W-XL-Passenger-Tire/168988732
