The Muslim world is very smart in how they dual-code their messages depending on the audience. If the west heard their propaganda in the original Arabic, they'd never go along with it. As I slowly make my way though the book "Zionism and Antizionism", I keep finding little gems, some of which point this out in ways I didn't expect. Most recently was the case of Palestinians throwing rocks at Israelis. To the west, this plays like an act of desperation on the part of the Palestinians against the evil oppressors they're powerless to effectively resist. But internally, this calls back to a time before modern Israel when Muslim children would regularly throw rocks at the dhimmi Jews, who couldn't fight back, as a way of putting them in their place.
