Have you considered teaching plays? They are much more natural fits for group reading. Kids develop investment in their assigned character(s). Plenty of great Greek plays, and if you select a more contemporary translation it will be easier than an older one. Trojan Women would be my pick - it’s gripping - and this is a good translation (though you’d have to xerox) - Andromache, Hecuba, Trojan Women (Hackett Classics) https://a.co/d/7vwykqO
