If you're up for getting a desktop computer, then you'd be able to pick out a large & bright monitor, and have a DVD drive in the desktop computer - new laptops will typically not include DVD drive.I actually put together a desktop computer with a DVD drive in it for my older brother last year. But if you're OK with having external USB DVD drive - it's not expensive - then you could get a gaming laptop or a "mini-pc" and add the USB DVD drive.
