If you want to try more water options, my cat decided to prefer a vase, and to sit upright to drink - it’s sort of shaped like this one, and wide enough base and top to not get knocked over. Hers is likewise is 8” tall (🤦🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️) so this example is along the lines.
