You just need to trick the thermistor into thinking it's warmer than it really is. The most practical way without needing anything external is opening the front cover and removing the thermistor (the black wire/probe) from inside and leaving it sticking out closer to your window- you can still close the cover on top of the thermistor wire it will snugly fit in the gap. This can easily help you lower the temp 5F or more. If you want to go all out and make your room as cold as you could ever imagine even down to 40F, you can solder up a resistor to the wire, or do something simpler like put it around a non-LED lightbulb. If you do this, be sure to get a controller so it can kill the A/C power when it gets too low a temp to prevent it from freezing over (e.g. https://www.amazon.com/KETOTEK-Thermostat-Temperature-Controller-Greenhouse-dp-B0DDT4MVDF/dp/B0DDT4MVDF/ )
