I haven't tried too many. But my number one buy is "Beach Cliff". They actually sell sardines in the tin can two ways, either with oil, or with water. I have not tried the water version, I like the oil. This is the water version: https://www.amazon.com/Beach-Cliff-Sardines-Water-3-75/dp/B08LMKLTJJ And this is the exact one I buy with Green Chili: https://www.amazon.com/Beach-Cliff-Sardines-Water-3-75/dp/B093D3967K And this is the regular sardines in oil, I also buy: https://www.amazon.com/Beach-Cliff-Sardines-Water-3-75/dp/B08LRRYDZ5 They also have some in hot sauce, and mustard. If you enjoy those flavors. I have not tried them. The only brand I'd say to stay away from is the "Great Value" sardines, if you have a Walmart. I tried them once, and those do have a way more harsh fish taste. And they sort of taste like the tin can. I did not like them. The Beach Cliff sardines and the Great Value sardines tasted entirely different. The Great Value sardines had a weird aftertaste that lingered; it almost tasted like stagnant water. But the Beach Cliff have a nice flavor and no aftertaste.
