You're welcome! Sorry I couldn't directly link to Amazon listings to make it easier--I got accused of being an AI bot a while back and got my account suspended, so ever since then I've been using those as sparingly as possible. Anyways, for the prize beys: Out of all the throwback beys I mentioned earlier, Dranzer Spiral is probably the best pick (in lieu of Storm Dragoon). Dranzer was the signature bey of the protagonist's biggest rival in the show, so there's quite a bit of nostalgia to be had there. (Storm Dragoon was the main protagonist's signature bey so you should probably get that one over Dranzer if possible, but again it's not out yet in your region so.) As for modern options, Emperor Might from the X-treme Battlers Pack might be a good prize bey, since it's gold and all. Several of its parts are also pretty ubiquitous for its class in the meta (though I doubt that really matters much in this context). The Golem Rock from the same pack also comes in an exclusive metallic green metal coat, so there's that as well. If you need the prize bey to be in its own unopened, self-contained pack, then Glory Valkyrie might also fit the bill. Glory Valkyrie is part of the new UX Expand series of beys, which all sacrifice a little bit of customizability for unique, crazy gimmicks. Glory Valkyrie's gimmick is a little something called "bound attack"-- its attacks are augmented by an internal spring designed to cushion incoming attacks and immediately release the power as a counter-attack. The white, gold, and blue colors also suit its prospective purpose as a prize bey! The Japanese version also comes with an exclusive string launcher, if you want to spring for that one. It technically isn't out yet, but it should be available in the coming months. ...finally, my personal favorite bey is PegasusBlast ATr, which can be found via the Clip & Rip Launcher Set. Blast Pegasus has a gimmick where it speeds up and becomes wildly more aggressive mid-battle, allowing for some epic last-second upsets. The Launcher it comes with can actually store Blast Pegasus itself, and also fold up into a belt clip. Impractical? Yes. But absolutely awesome. Addendum: About Bootlegs... DON'T BUY FAKE BEYS. Fake beys have lead in them. You probably don't want to give your friends lead poisoning. Don't buy fake launchers, either. I've heard nothing but bad things about them. Apparently the quality on the bootleg launchers are so bad that they break within a couple launches; this is true for both fake Winders and Fake Strings. Fake stadiums are probably fine from a safety standpoint, but obviously they won't be as good as the real thing. Honestly I wouldn't cheap out on the stadium; a good X-Rail is pretty much mandatory for the ideal Beyblade X experience. Do buy fake grips. They aren't necessary in the slightest, but you mentioned wanting to buy the grips earlier, so. Fake grips will work just fine. They're basically more or less as good as the real thing.

Other Purchases and Tips: The Yggdrasill Team Pack and X-treme Expansion Pack come with a lot of parts at a slight discount, so they might be worth picking up. Do make sure to tell the groom that the simple-type ratchets aren't as good as normal ones, though. And also if you get the X-treme Expansion Pack, then don't let people use the MN (Metal Needle) bit--it's the same Bit on Shinobi Shadow that I was talking about earlier, and it dents stadiums. ROSS (yes, the clothing store) occasionally has beys for 60-80% off their original price. Most of them are pretty meh, but more spare parts are always good. You can definitely use parts from beys you buy from Ross as part of a killer combo. Collab Beys exist! There are official Beys based off of Transformers, Star Wars, Marvel Superheroes, and Jurassic Park. They tend to perform worse compared to the standard beys, and they're also more expensive, but the coolness factor of having Darth Vader beat up Thanos might just make it worth it. Just a heads up. For prizes: Beyblade X has remakes of older beys. Since you said that you guys played with Beyblade during the 2000s, then maybe one of these beys might invoke a sense of nostalgia? I'm assuming that you played during the original "plastic gen", but if this opening looks more familiar then let me know ASAP because my recommendations will change immensely**.** (Unfortunately Storm Dragoon's remake isn't out yet but I'll let you know when it comes out if you want.)
