Thank you for taking the first step. I know it is hard but I am proud of you. If you're moving out soon that can actually make things easier, not harder. First I would get some moving boxes. You can buy them at U-Haul or Home Depot or even Walmart. Get the medium size. Pack one kind of things at a time. Start with records and CDs, then do books and comics, then do collectibles. Mark the box and put it in the closet. Just don't pack the things that you use every day. Getting things out of your vision will help you feel less overwhelmed. Empty your drawers and everything next. Throw all your clothes on the bed and fold everything. Then pick the ten shirts, five pants, four pairs of shoes, socks and underwear you wear the most. Pack all the rest. You will see improvement. Your mind will be less cluttered as your space becomes uncluttered.
