My guy uses Oster clippers for bulking, which when i first saw i thought "don't they make blenders and shit too? this isn't gonna go well" but it does just fine, i've been to him maybe 40 times and ive never felt pulling or tugging from a dull blade ever (which also could be him being on top of his game more than the product idk) if something breaks he can probably get a replacement within 12 hours, instead of having some fancy one of a kind deal that's going to put him out for 2 weeks because of shipping. So don't think you always need NASA quality shit.For blends and fades i think he has Wahl Senior. The real magic comes from this trimmer. He'll use foil trimmers at the end, but sometimes he doesn't and you can barely even tell because the saber craft does so well. I do my own beard and i've had this in my cart for over a year, i can't justify it until my piece of shit Phillips dies though.
