OK. You may need a box extender to bring the outlet to the surface. There are different depth, this in an example, but you may need deeper or shallower. Make sure the cover can be mounted sideways. Weatherproof cover https://a.co/d/0d0T7ov7 Put silicone sealant behind the adaptor plate to keep water from getting in.
