Sorry pal, you’re wrong. Each 8 pin is good for 150 watts. The pci-e slot is good for 75. My Sapphire Nitro 9070 XT came with the exact adapter shown in op’s photo. Since I have a Corsair HX1200i (old style), I bought an appropriate cable to eliminate the unnecessary third connection point between the adapter and the 8-pin cables supplied with the PSU: CableMod Basics C-Series 12VHPWR StealthSense PCI-e Cable for Corsair (Black, 16-pin to Triple 8-pin, 60cm) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CK6ZD162?ref=cm_sw_r_apin_dp_RYE885RRDAB4WNMSV4CJ_1&ref_=cm_sw_r_apin_dp_RYE885RRDAB4WNMSV4CJ_1&social_share=cm_sw_r_apin_dp_RYE885RRDAB4WNMSV4CJ_1&rsd=pE8JUmtvUPvOG0tw%2FkJSPKUQapOrL5iQQJSeyN8nGywo1h2h2xcBCpmSW5IW6dM8w%2FjyIyRX6YTm16P1nnbwqm%2FS1O8WGWp82GqayCq0FQ5flGA%3D&edk=AQIDAHi1lw%2FM8UbbSMD9ScOOFEmBMHMthHeEhqDaQYPJUAX3jQEHJ2pBMRFo7tebyML2GLC5AAAAfjB8BgkqhkiG9w0BBwagbzBtAgEAMGgGCSqGSIb3DQEHATAeBglghkgBZQMEAS4wEQQMicgiRG9xfzdvsnVqAgEQgDuKUmcOqAxmfO%2B0V9Ty%2BheaXanVBvFMorG0N%2BqP2jioHqRY8M3k6nuevsZ4tq9HJvVtImfITMXam8fL9g%3D%3D Since the adapter is looking for three separate eight pin cables from the PSU, I bought a 12VHPWR cable with three eight pin connections at the PSU. I have seen my 9070 XT pull in excess of 375 watts (peak) during demanding 4K gaming sessions. Had I only went with a dual eight pin 12VHPWR cable, I would have been at the limit of the cables and pcie slot capacity. The reason the GPU came with a three cable adapter is so that there is enough electrical overhead during times of peak power draw. You should talk about what you know about.
